The Fantastic Four where the first superhero team created by Marvel Comics, and are also known as Marvel's first family. The team consists of four adventurers who where accidentally exposed to cosmic radiation giving them all superpowers. These four adventurers where Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). At first each of the members of the Fantastic Four had trouble controling their powers and had side effects because of it. But over time, they gained a better control over their powers and became stronger as a team. AS time went on the team evolved, Sue and Reed got married and had two kids, Franklin and Valeria and have had new members come and go, with the original four ramaining as the face of the team.

The Fantastic Four have used their powers to go on many adventures, such as exploring theNegative Zone, and have protect the world from dangerous threats, such as their nemesis Doctor Doom. They have even prevented the cosmic being Galactus from consuming the Earth on more than one occasion. During the end of a comic event known as Secret Wars the multiverse was destroyed and the Richard family had to rebuild it. Becuase of this the Fantastic Four had to disband for a while but has since reunited under the leadership of the Invisible Woman and contuine to be some of the Earth greatest protectors.

Fun Fact: Each of the Fantastic Four's Powers relate to one of the greek elements. With the Thing being earth, Invisible Woman being wind, Human Torch being fire, and Mister Fantastic being water.
